Micro-Habits
The start of my January Series
Ok.
Enough traveling. Enough being emotional. Let’s get back to work.
Starting my January series on ‘Micro-Habits’ I am doing this month in hopes that they continue on into the entire year. First series is general health, then beauty health, then wardrobe changes for the year, then organization tips.
I have a lot of big things coming up the next few months and I need to be on my A-game. Looking my best, feeling my best, energy at its highest, my brain on focus mode.
I love January so much. It’s been big with the start of the school year and endless holiday events. I already came home and started to minimize my clutter right away.
The clothes shopping is less in January and I want to save money to do all the things I want to do this year. (Also save for the new SCF and Dillards launch coming up!!)
Here is everything I am doing:
1. Not drinking this month. But don’t hold me to it. I stocked up on the collagen hot chocolate from BF and soda waters and I am going to attempt dry- January…. without pressure. Soda water with a splash of pomegranate juice and lime is the best. If a friend is having a birthday and she wants to have a martini- I will but for now it’s a no. Not drinking unless necessary. I’m a good friend what can I say. When in doubt, also try a Cann after a long day.
2. Morning Olive Oil shots. The best thing about my husband (well one of them) is that he brings me a latte in bed in the morning. It’s the best part of my day, as I am not the biggest morning person. However, I have been reading up on olive oil shots and I got this one from Zimms Organics called Heal+. I am trying this other one from ZoeFull that is a bit more expensive but its high grade “Wild Olive Oil- for Drinking” I take a shot of that with a squeeze of lemon- 30 ish minutes before my coffee. Tons of benefits for skin and inflammation.
3. Face Ice Bath- yes I got the ad on Instagram and I bought the Face Tub. My eyes were so puffy and inflamed my entire trip I never took one picture. I was using spoons to ice my face every morning. The way a face ice bath tightens your skin and calms inflammation is amazing and this tub helps so you can breath under water.
4. I listened to the Skinny Confidential Podcast (which I love- very informative) and loved the episode with Agent Nature. I have known about this brand for years but I loved hearing more about the products from the owners directly. Note to business owners- do podcasts! I immediately made an order for the Holi scalp-spray (used in my entire trip). I’ve had a battle with thin hair ever since I went on Accutane, had babies, became a women - basically since day one. I’ve tried it all. I also got the marine collagen and I have been mixing it at night in the Ballerina Farm Hot chocolate and let me tell you – it’s GOOD. Working on the inside, outside all of it.
5. Mouth tape. I’ve tried many, but I still love this one the best. Is it just age but I feel like my face is getting longer the older I get. Lets hold it up , up , up and I sleep SO much better with the tape and have wild dreams. More sleep equals better mind. Tape with a big dose of Magnesium (I don’t do melatonin at all anymore) and you are good.
6. Supplements. I got into Needed Omegas once a day, I also take Astragalus which is great for stress but also heard great for hair health. I love Rituals Gut Trio package. Everything starts with your gut.
7. I take Tru Niagen NAD+. I was injecting NAD which works wonders (big fan) but sometimes I forget and don’t feel like stabbing my self. If you want to feel 20 again.
8. AG1- just am becoming familiar with his brand but I really like their Daily Foundation Packs. Keep the travel packs in your bag and throw it in a water bottle. It says to drink it in the morning but I just do it at lunch time or on the go. I like citrus flavor the best with cold water.
9. Thinking of having a baby? I am always dabbling about the third so I am taking these pre-natals just to make sure all my woman parts were set incase I decide to make the jump one day. So many benefits even just for overall health outside of baby making.
11. I also love Time-Line cellular energy gummies- I think the pills are better but sometimes I don’t like taking so many. This brand is really interesting to me and did so much research.
12. Been having an organic Kiwi a day – vitamin c, digestion, fiber, been reading a ton of benefits especially for women.
I know I am 100 years late on this but I purchased a Kindle. I want to educate my self as much as possible. I do love a podcast but reading is great too (obviously) but finding the time with kids is really hard. I downloaded some great books and now always have in my bag when I am stuck in the school pick up lane.
14. Lastly, I found out about this site called The Grove. Sometimes I don’t like ordering supplements through amazon and I really trust this website. I get my vitamin-c supplements since I am a bit sensitive to Vitamin-C serums on my skin. They have amazing things to stock up your kids medicine cabinet This entire site is amazing, one stop shop from health, to beauty to home. You could get lost.
Ok, till the next one, have a great week!!
X Cyd
