Not sure if you are like me but September is the busiest month. School starts and about 87999 of my friends were born in September, including my self and my son. It’s virgo season, so you know those parties are planned and organized whilst emotions are flying high.
Falls creeping even more in now, my leaves are turning in my backyard and not from the heat wave we just had. My birthday was great and easy, had martinis with friends, brunches and late night beach days. I’ve kinda reached that age where I am now just going to wait till big milestone birthdays and then celebrate big. I get a little sad to be older every year and start wondering if I am happy with where I am at in life. But who doesn’t?
My son has also taken my birthday month and that’s fine with me. I was going to throw a basic pizza party at the park, yet somehow it ended up being at my house and we went big. Of course it set me into an organizing spiral, I cleaned out every single drawer in my house, dusted all the baseboards, decided I wanted to renovate our kitchen and I had to spend extra time on my garden so the flowers looked perfect. I invited about 90 people to come, and a lot had never been over to my house before. Why do I feel the need to have my house ready for Veranda to walk in at any moment? I don’t know, but the pressure was on.
We threw him a “Ghost” party and I highly recommend it for any little kids. Probably my least favorite holiday of the year and the color orange and I just don’t get along. Although I absolutely love a theme, I also enjoyed the challenge. How can I throw a halloween party without using the color orange or black? I did it and it was great and the kids had the best time dressing up. He couldn’t stop telling me how happy he was as he fell asleep so it all made the stress worth while.

Jackets are coming out and it really gets me excited. Couple things I spend money on are shoes, purses and jackets. The rest I love vintage a good price point find.
Obviously I think about the holidays and I start to LOVE the color red. I used to think blondes couldn’t wear it but I’m realizing with a great lip color it actually looks amazing on blondes. I got this big pea coat that borderline could make me pass as Santa but it’s also giving me chic The Row-Santa, too.
Pair it with Violette’s new lip color , no mascara and you are looking pretty beautiful.
