BEAUTY

It’s summer and its time to put down the foundation and get out the tinted Moisturizers: I’ve tried them all!

- Color Science- Best by far for a sunny day and a long day amazing under make up. I feel this one has the best protection. I wear ‘medium’.

- Merit – Just got this one and I am SO impressed! Its light and glides on really nicely. I wear shade 22 but feel like I could have gone to shade 24 for me. I love to use this one and then use the stick under my eyes and around my nose for a little discoloration.

- Alastin – this is one of my all time favorites- it really glides on and doesn’t clump and also really nice when you are mostly indoors as its spf36. I love to add a DROP of the Haus foundation to this if I need more coverage. I do trust anything this brand makes.

- ILIA – I use this more at night, it has the most coverage of them all so it feels more like a foundation than a tint. I wear ST5

- U-Beauty- They just came out with one and I really love it. I just got #3 as the #4 felt a little orange on my skin. I really LOVE all of their products especially their moisturizer (i’ve compared it to Augustunus Bader in the past- holy grail) and their eye cream. Use code CYDNEY20 but I can’t say enough good things about this entire line and it’s a really perfect daily tint.

- RMS- Ok people love this one but it didn’t set well on my skin- however the color matches perfectly and I like that its SPF50. It might just not be loving my products underneath. I use color ‘Buff’

- SuperGoop- I always just keep one of these in my beach bag, easy , affordable and great for on the go. This has a nice coverage but beach girl coverage if you know what I mean- its glowy and makes you feel like Kate Bosworth on Blue Crush.

HOME

Business and Pleasure just launched their new collection with Elsa Hosk. I styled it and I couldn’t be more proud of their team. I can’t decide which color I want- but I am leaning baby blue and a stripe yellow pillow? Not sure but my husband will kill me cause I have switched colors in our yard twice a year now. TV SHOWS

Okay I get weird dreams after violent shows but Mobland…. Wow-wow-wow. My dreams were about TOM HARDY and not violence. Or maybe a little of both I don’t know but that show is so well done- gnarly yes but Guy Ritchie is brilliant. I don’t like Eddy. Just wait.

FOOD

Someone once told me you can’t be good at everything once you have kids and it’s okay to give something up so make more time for them. Are you giving up being super athletic? Going to the gym less. Being a great cook? Taking time to make extravagant meals. Spending a lot of time with your friends? Giving up work? Well it was easy for me – cooking.

Not my passion but I can make a mean sandwich. Something about Laguna Beach and summer makes me think Hava-Chips and tuna sandwiches- which I have had my fair share of. But right now I’m back on the veggie train. Milligram Coffee makes the most insane layered vegetable sandwich that I want to try at home. I think it’s the beet patty, shredded carrots and the champagne vinaigrette soaked into the bread.

I also made this little summer mint fruit salad for the kids during a bbq and it was really pretty. That’s the extent of my cooking!

Jewels

Call me a housewife but I just love a diamond. I want to sparkle so bright and maybe get my arm chopped off one day. Just kidding- but I love a do love a diamond. Too bad they are pretty expensive and getting more and more (thx Trump) I just ordered this wrap ring from Ring Concierge as I love to mix metals so I got it in white gold. I also love everything Dorsey is doing right now and got their Paracord necklace- this line feels like casual diamonds which is nice to swim in and not feel like you are wearing too ‘much’ in the day. I also love the tennis necklaces as all of these are lab grown so it feels a lot better on the bank than mined diamonds (and sparkle just the same)

Next on my wish list is colored diamonds and I love that this small company called Shop Ana Oak . Their blue + green diamond is so beautiful and reminds me of my kids eyes.

The Boat Shoe

I’ve always loved a boat shoe and they are THE shoe right now. Last year was the loafer- this year is the boat shoe. Some are $500-1200 right now which is just nuts to me. Get the original boat shoe from Sperry. I just got these blue ones in ivory as well. (I like to size up so you just slip them right on like a sandal). I also love this style in the men’s! Mens have a wider fit which feels a little more flattering on the leg x
