Try On's
Felt like feeling cute this month and have a few meetings coming up so I did a little clicking around which always leads to packages at my front door. I just love trying things on in my own home, so sue me.
First these white jeans I posted on instagram. They got SO much love and they’re only $49. I ended up getting the dark wash and the white. I’ve been wearing them everyday this week. I love them with these shoes for a little lift with the baggy leg.
Next this really cute white mini dress from Millie. I love an easy white throw on for school pick up, or after a summers day. A nice flowy , run-around-town-kind of dress. You honestly can never have enough easy throw on’s. I love these shoes and this hat (cyd15) for a little easy classic Spring look with this dress. I’m really into the gold hardware Emme Parsons does on a lot of her sandals. Reminds me of toe tings- which I am a big fan of. Foot and ankle jewelry, give it all to me.
I got this lace skirt from Doen, had to return it for another size but I liked that it was see through without being TOO see through. I would wear it with a crisp white button up (cyd15). How cute would this skirt be with a high boot, too. I have my eye on this YSL bag right now. I really don’t NEED another straw bag but how nice is this square shape ?! Business meets beach? I work hard but might have a spritz later?
This white dress reminds me of the Khaite one which I just loved. This feels way more daytime. It’s obviously easier casual fabrics (and a quarter of the price) that the everyday can girl can wear. I would wear it with a simple black sandal depending on where I am going but it feels pretty easy to dress up or down. Again, you just can’t have enough easy white dresses in your closet.
I also ordered this crochet skirt that I want to wear with a big button down dshirt. This open knit sweater which feels like a fancy, yet sexy, yet maybe your grandma knit it for you kind of vibe. We’ll see how they fit when they come .
Ordered this other silky Doen dress which I also needed a different size but I love anything that’s bias cut and easy throw on. I thought it would be fun with these tennis shoes to keep with the sunset theme or a gucci slide. I always love a print on print. Ignore the dark undies.
And lastly, simple black cardigan done right….I just got this Jenni Kayne sweater that I’m sure you have seen all over the internet by now, but it actually meets up to the hype. It curves in at the waist so it really gives you a flattering waist silhouette and it is a nice thick knit. I try not to drink during the weeks and started to meet a girlfriend of mine every Friday for a much needed Martini lunch. It’s become my new favorite day of the week and this sweater was perfect for it. Wore it again with my new favorite $49 jean in the dark wash.
That’s all, better get to work now so I can pay of my credit card. I’m also shooting more “Cyds Closet” this week so stay tuned for new items i’ll be uploading in the next couple weeks.
